Twenty-twenty was a year of change and memorable challenges. We started off with new leadership and then a sensitive loss. The feminist protests showed us once again that together we are stronger and then we woke up with news of a pandemic that shocked the world. Despite fear, losses and uncertainty, we continue working. Our priority has been the care of all GIRE team members, as well as the communities and people we accompany. Although it was a year of challenges, we also realized our strengths as an organization. We recognize the dedication and effort to adapt to changes with professionalism. ¡Seguimos en la lucha!
The activities carried out by GIRE receive support from different foundations, international cooperation agencies and a growing community of individual donors in Mexico and around the world. Thanks to your generosity we can advance toward our objectives. We are committed to transparency and accountability. Our annual budget is divided as follows:
Institutional Development and Accounting
Public Policy Advocacy
Is possible thanks to the support of three anonymous donors, the Arcus Foundation, the Irish Embassy in Mexico, the Foundation for a Just Society,, the Ford Foundation Office for Mexico and Central America, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Hivos, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, MSD in Mexico, the Stewart R. Mott Foundation, the European Union Delegation in Mexico, and the Sigrid Rausing Trust, as well as the generous support of our individual donors, who are crucial in each of our accomplishments.
